Emerald “noquisi” GoingSnake is a poet from the Giduwa and Mvskoke nations in Oklahoma. She has served as a panelist for the 2022 Western Literature Association Conference and has work forthcoming from Tribal College Journal and Terrain.org. Emerald is currently in her junior year at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, NM, studying both poetry and creative nonfiction. She plans to pursue an MFA in creative writing post-graduation.
