LCO Zine Anishinaabe Call for Submissions

I am publishing a zine featuring Anishinaabe writers this winter!! Thanks to the generous funds from First Peoples Fund, all accepted contributing writers will receive $150 and a copy of the publication.
There will be judges for each category (I am not one of them) so please consider sending in your best works when submissions open on August 15th.

Poetry Guidelines:
Submit a maximum of 3 poems totaling up to 8 pages, preceded by a cover letter.
Submissions open August 15 - October 15
Please include your entire submission in one file and be sure your name, contact information, and Anishinaabe tribal affiliation are included on the first page of the file.
You do not have to be enrolled but must be able to show lineal descendency.
Prose Guidelines:
We accept flash fiction submissions only.
Prose should be double-spaced. Submit a maximum of one piece, up to 8 pages or 2,000 words, preceded by a cover letter.

General Guidelines
Contributor must have Anishinaabe tribal affiliation (enrolled or lineal descent) and be a US Citizen
We accept previously published works; please include publication credit in your submission
All work should be emailed to lcozinesubmissions@gmail.com. Acceptable file formats include .doc, .docx, and .pdf.
Please do not email more than one submission for each category. Any additional submissions will be ignored.
We will do our best to respond to all submissions within 5 weeks
Accepted contributors receive one copy of the zine in which they appear
After publication, all rights, except those stated above, revert to the copyright owner. You (or the copyright owner) retain the copyright and the right to reprint. Please credit Odaawaa Zaaga'iganing Review as the place of first publication. You are responsible for the content of the Work. Odaawaa Zaaga'iganing Review assumes no liability.
